Copper Country Rentals offers a nice selection of snowmobiles for you to choose from. We are the ideal place to rent snowmobiles, being conveniently located right on Trail #17, just 15 minutes north of the Houghton/Hancock area in historic Calumet.

Snowmobile Online Booking

Rental Gear & Accessories
– Jackets, bibs, and winter boots are available for rent at $15 per day per item
– Gloves are available for $10 per day
– Snowmobile helmets with heated shields are available for $20 per day
You may add gear to your reservation, but it’s not required. We have plenty of gear on hand, so there’s no need to reserve anything in advance.

Trail Information & Trip Planning
Trail maps are available, and we’re happy to help you plan a fun and memorable ride through the hundreds of miles of groomed trails in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
– Ride up Brockway Mountain for a stunning view
– Explore the scenic trails near Lake Superior
The Keweenaw consistently gets heavy snowfall, providing excellent riding conditions all season long.

Snowmobile Rental Information
– Check-out is at 9:30 AM
– Check-in is no later than 8:30 AM the following day
– Same-day returns must be made by 7:00 PM sharp — late returns are not accepted
– Rentals that include Friday or Saturday require a two-day minimum
– Sleds go out with a full tank of gas and must be returned full
– Additional charge for oil is based on usage
– Renters must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and credit card
– Multi-day discount rates are available (see this information under sled type)

Group Booking Policy (Important)
If you’re booking for a group, we ask that each person books separately using their own contact information and credit card. This is necessary for individual deposits and to assign responsibility for any damages.
– Booking separately also helps ensure a faster and smoother check-out process in the morning
– If one person books for multiple machines, that individual will be held responsible for all damages across all machines on that reservation
– We strongly prefer to avoid this, so please ensure each group member makes their own booking if you are paying separate when you arrive

Deposit Information
– A $100 non-refundable credit card deposit is required at the time of reservation

Cancellation Policy
– Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance: You will lose only your $100 non-refundable deposit
– Cancellations made within 7 days of your rental date: You are responsible for the full rental amount
– Cancellations must be made by phone only — we do not accept cancellations via email

Snow Conditions & Cancellations
While snowfall in the Keweenaw Peninsula is typically abundant, in the rare event that Copper Country Rentals determines trail conditions are unrideable due to a lack of snow, you will not be charged for your rental.
